Massage therapy consists primarily of hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, specifically, the muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints for the purpose of optimizing health.

Massage therapy treatment has a therapeutic effect on the body and optimizes health and well-being by acting on the muscular, nervous and circulatory systems. Physical function can be developed, maintained and improved; and physical dysfunction and pain and the effects of stress can be relieved or prevented through the use of Massage Therapy.

Today’s Massage Therapists use their knowledge of anatomy and physiology to combine traditional Swedish and modern Massage Therapy techniques with exercise and other therapies to treat their clients.

Your Treatment:
Before a treatment, your Massage Therapist will propose a personalized treatment plan based on an initial assessment and health history. The assessment consists of various tests to determine the condition of your muscles and joints. Any personal and health information you provide to your Massage Therapist is completely confidential and will be safeguarded. Your health record cannot be released or transferred without your written consent.

Your Massage Therapist must also obtain your consent to work on any part of your body, regardless of whether you are fully clothed, or fully or partially covered with sheets or blankets. Your privacy will always be respected, and you may withdraw your consent for treatment at any time.

Various specialized movements of the hands, over the skin or clothes, make up the Massage Therapy treatment. The Massage Therapist will work with your level of pain tolerance during the treatment, and the treatment can be stopped at any time should the treatment become uncomfortable.

Massage therapy is not covered by OHIP, but many private insurance companies cover treatment from a Massage Therapist as part of their extended healthcare plans. Please consult your policy.

Welcome to Holistic Physiotherapy with Nami

Your body has been on a journey—and the symptoms you’re experiencing are your body’s way of communicating with you. It may still carry tension from a past injury, long hours at a desk, repetitive daily movements, or even trapped emotions and trauma. Whatever you’re feeling, your body is speaking—and we are here to listen.

I take an integrative approach that considers the whole person: body, mind, and soul. While symptoms may appear in one area, the body is deeply interconnected. Through careful assessment and treatment of the entire system—not just the symptom—we uncover and address root causes, which allows for faster and more complete healing.

A key focus of my work is the nervous system. Many forms of pain, tension, and imbalance are rooted in nervous system dysregulation. I help guide the body out of the stress-based fight-or-flight (sympathetic) state and into the calm, healing parasympathetic state, where true recovery can begin. By reconnecting you to your body’s innate intelligence, we create the conditions for deep, lasting change.

Each session is tailored to your individual needs following a comprehensive assessment. Treatments may include manual therapy, acupuncture, cupping, breathwork, and education. I also integrate Fascial Maneuvers—gentle, guided movements that release tension held in the fascia (the connective tissue surrounding muscles, bones, and organs). Releasing fascial tension can restore alignment, improve posture and mobility, and create a sense of lightness and ease in the body.

My goal is to empower you. I provide clear instructions and personalized tools you can use daily to support your own healing. I believe that what you think and believe about your symptoms and your healing potential plays a powerful role in your recovery—and I’m here to support you every step of the way.

It would be an honor to support you on your healing journey—to feeling balanced, strong, energized, and at home in your body.
